not hard- use large loppers or machete . This is the species they make tequila from- never new how though

That would be great, as I mentioned in the video, the center buds were removed to form a basin for tequila, but I did not know that would also save the agave. Is it easy to remove the bloom buds? In Spain now, so may not respond quickly.

nice video terri- If you want to save your giant agave- you can cut the bloom buds off before it gets large, and save your beautiful specimine plant.
