In re: to chemical free control of aphids- I use a mix of dishwashing soap and water, If they are outside spraying them off with the hose works really well. I'm not sure about the pale color- possibly a nutrition deficiency? Have you been fertilizin…

I had good luck with my Hibiscus (Tropical variety) using Insectal Soap to keep the aphids away...For some reason Aphids LOVE Hibiscus! So I had to be diligent. As far as the color of the blooms...Are they in full sun? Hibiscus are sun lovers...Hope…

super phosphate will help with the color. if you want to go organic....don't know; I buy bags of super phosphate and apply in early spring to all flowering plants.

Aphids... Shoot em really hard with the hose. They are to stupid to climb back up. OR I have used a spray of H2O and mouthwash. Dont know about the color issue.

Your Brugmansia are beautiful. I have one that I grow in a very large pot, I have to move it into the greenhouse each fall about the time it starts to bloom because it gets too cold for them here. If we leave them out the frost will kill them back to the ground each year so they never get very big. Oh well, at least it makes the greenhouse smell wonderful.
