Hi folks. Sunday night. A good day. Killing off grass on the lake lawn. Have designed 4 new conifer beds for there with 5 foot trails winding through them. Will build 1 at a time. Sprayed the grass on the 3rd largest beds today (half way)...big beds…

How Dad makes his garden sculptures
I've been asked how dad makes his sculptures...each has some unique approaches, but in general 1- design on paper, 2- welds rebar into basic structure, 3- welds on steel to develop outer 'skin' and inner completed structure, 4- hammers, cuts and grinds into shape, 5- welds on brass & bronze for details and finish, 6- reshapes/redo as needed, and then 7- powder coats the whole piece..a large piece typically takes 2-3 months with a lot of time involved

Don't know if I'll keep it there or move, may not make it elsewhere without lots of water, most of my growing is cactus.

Crazy rainstorm last night, ripped down half the ivy on the wall. Had to cut it down, so I figured what the heck I'll collect snails in my garden. Armed with chopsticks (they make it way easy to gather up tiny guys under plants if you are profficent…

Sheryl, that shouldn't be a problem, I have a seed feeder in close proximity and the humming birds seem happy enough to share. They just seem to perch on the tiny twigs where the big guys cant get to. Chech the surronding territory, perhaps someone…
