These are awesome. I live in upstate Michigan. I have raised beds as well. I need some of these 'hoop houses' did you make them yourself? Can you share your secrets for cooler gardeing?
Hi Susan, The deer make an appearance every day. They use our yard as a pass thru to our neighbor across the street who has a pond and has 5 acres designated to wildflowers and the subdivision on the side of us which we are not connected to. They have done some damage to my bushes but I have learned going forward to not plant things that they love. My red twigged dogwoods get munched to the ground as with my pussy willow which I have never been able to get branches to force bloom indoors. At least they are well fed!
This is a nice site. We just keep plugging along, glad for husband he does all the heavy lifting for me. I'm missing my rocks, had to buy them in, Florida won't spend the money again, not many rocks where I'm at. Will have to make a 2 hour trip with the trailer to get some.
I need to take some pics, our yard is a mess. I am steadily improving it though. It is taking me awhile finding plants that will take the hot Georgia sun. It is a new experience for me. Some day my yard will be as nice as yours.
Thanks Willis and Karen - I got all the flip-flop, thong and thongs thing sorted out now. Charming, albeit sad story about MAD & thongs Willis.

Hey to all varmits abound in your neck of the woods. I was sitting at my computer the other night and the back door was ajar. I looked down to my side and an opossum was staring up at me. I gave it a little shout bugaboo and it quickly retreated. Ad…
All I can say is based on all the pictures of yours that I've seen, I find it hard to believe that you just started taking pictures recently. You are good!
