After the extended 4 day nor'easter here in central Maine the temperatures are relatively warm at around 25 - 30 degrees. Supposed to get colder this weekend.
This is a scary thought indeed!! I'm not sure I can muster up the courage. I have gardening clothes that's for sure. I think that my scarecrow is better dressed than I! LOL
Hello all. Just joined the group. Maine has certainly had a challenging summer for gardens of all kinds. The slugs have been happy, I don't think I've seen this many!
You declare war on Japanese Beetles & think up new & different ways to kill them.
I have been trying to kill off the red spider wart that I planted oj so many years ago. also, evening primrose love to spread but they are easier to control. Oh & I forgot... violets everywhere!

Well I have several sources of water, 3 bird baths and our waterfall in our pond. Never had this problem before. I have always had hummers. Just wondering if the winter weather we had messed them up. Oh well maybe next year.
