They were a gift from a friend--Just getting ready to bloom this year. Love them too. I had a large pot of white ones--but they did not come back this year. I have to take them in the house but the white ones are gone--Will be looking for more--lol
Yes, I remember Rochester, MI....actually, I have 5 indoor/outdoor cats and 1 stray that joined the clan. There's a cat door for the 5....they're very spoiled....LOL One meows for yogurt almost every hour and the other does that for cheese....that cat when i want her to come in, I say...want some "cheese" and she comes running...LOL Not all cats like cheese that much but maybe you could teach the kitten that word if she likes it and it would be a way to get her in.
Just saw your beautiful rhododendron bloom and thought I'd see your wall. I am from MI and lived there 50 yrs...but never heard of Washington, MI. Used to have a rhody that color at 2 locations in MI, here in TN they have a whole mountain of them on Roan Mountain. Don't have a rhody at this location where I live yet. Only my 2nd summer here. Thank you for posting your Rhody bloom it brought back the memory of when I had them on an east exposure and they did well except for some winter leaf burn.
Hi! Thanks for the messages. After my tooth, once the swelling went down, there was a really big bone or tooth splinter that as cutting my cheek. I had to go back and have that removed; so I'm just now starting to feel better.
I've also been running around trying to get ready for a job interview. I had taken a civil service test in the winter, and just got the interview letter to go work for Child Support Collections. I really hope I get the job.... It'll mean so many changes!
I should be back on here more often... Sorry to hear about all your friends... that is really scary when things start happening all around you.
I PROMISE I'll get the Irises out to you soon. I haven't done anything in the gardens since my surgery, and I haven't wanted to do any damage... but my back is 100% better.
I hear you on the tooth pain. Things have been out of the norm around here too. Bob's sister just had brain surgery and A friend died after going in for out patient surgery. Another friend broke his neck. Just way too many things going wrong. I have been trying to stop at garden centers to see if they have marked down they stock. But nothing yet. Enjoyed all your photo's--your boxes sure work good. Enjoy the day! Lori
Hi Lori! Sorry to hear about the woodchuck. I' getting better. My back is wonderful. I had to have a tooth pulled shortly after, and I was fine, had family come to visit, and then the swelling went down. I had a piece of bone or tooth splinter cutting the inside of my cheek. I had to go back to the OS and have them remove it; more pain, stitches & swelling. I hate having pain in my mouth; I'd rather go through child-birth again. Anyway, you should see me more, I'm finally on the mend. thanks for asking, it's nice to know when you're missed.
Lori, sorry to read that your Lupines were dined on by a large woodchuck. Plants become our children, and when an uninvited guest appears it is very disheartening. Hmmm, I noticed there were no takers for my snail offer!!! lol! My new gardener is repairing the automatic sprinkler system and I am so happy. The hose is about 20 yrs old and has simply rotted out. The project should be completed this week, which is good as we leave for Russia on Sunday and I want all of my "babies" receiving good care in my absence. We need rain here in Santa Barbara, it is so dry, all the hills are brown, and yes, we are very near the fire area.
Lori do you mean my Amaryllis...a Double red and white one? I keep a log and detailed info on my lilies....BUT do not know the variety on the Amaryllis...Most likely it was a gift somewhere down the road! Let me know if that is what you're looking at....If it has babies maybe I can share...not hardy though...has to be brought inside for the winter...
Hi Lori..The name Bonin rings a bell...we knew of a Ken Bonin that my husband used to work with....any relation? They say it is a small world...Already met someone that knew my husband's brother when he lived in Michigan...Your site and picrtures are amazing! Really a nice job!
teehee Barbara, you are so cute! Julie, I would guess that Devin deals with Willis with equal parts exasperation and humor. And I would also guess that Willis dotes on her!
Love the Christmas tree idea for Willis. Don't know if Devon would agree...although she has to have a fabulous sense of humor to be with Willis for so long! LOL Sheron - the photos would win! Hee hee heee!
Paul saw the new garden area I tilled. Wish…
Very beautiful Karen. This may seem funny but you will never guess where my appreciation of the harp was born.
I hope you enjoy this link, and be sure that I very much liked your video.
