Jennifer: Yes, I love Roses the most, also1 Also, the Iris...Peonies are beautiful, too but they hardly last long. A storm will ruin them. That's so sweet you have a place for flowers in remembrance for your Mom. My mom passed in Feb. '06 at 82 yrs. She had 9 children and was widowed over 30 yrs so life wasn't easy for her. I was 3rd in line the 2nd girl. Need to go do some dishes. Only use dishwasher when there's a bunch...looks like it's sprinkling right now, not sure if it would rain harder or not. I already watered in case. At least it's cloudy for a change and brings relief from the hot temps., only high 80's today but still very humid! Don't take heat well, myself...nor my 5 fur babies...LOL, one is a stray but he has short hair. 2 of mine are mainecoons with thick fur, they get the most uncomfortable in the heat!

That blue butterfly you sent is so special...thank you so much! Yes, I also signed up for he Almanac newsletters to my mailbox. I really like them, also. On next day after my red rose bloomed I was surprised it had white petals underneath! This is the first season for this one...

Oh...love your red rose w/rain drops...thank you for posting, it's beautiful; my red rose just opened yesterday! You must read Old Farmer's Almanac like I do cause I recognize some of your quotes and info from what I read.

Hi Jennifer,
Only saw Passion flowers dried in bulk which I used to order for the health food store where I worked that was my dept (Bulk herbs/body care). Just last week I saw one posted on GI and was amazed at the unique beauty. I had to post it to my fcbk wall!
Had no clue there was more than 1 variety, though. Yes, I am interested in seeing yours, too. Just posted a cold cucumber soup recipe on the Garden Recipe group. It's delicious...got it from my "chef" son.

You have the prettiest BLUE morning glory pic...seems like some plant food I use turns the blue blooms more purple. Do you feed yours? Just moved 7 volunteer morning glories out of the lawn before it was mowed yesterday. Don't know what color they are yet, but hoping it's blue! Have some blue ones also in planter by the door but they haven't quite bloomed yet!

Thanks Jennifer. I love it!
Isn't this fun here on GI. I just love looking at my many friends photos and pages, sometimes in the middle of the night.
Lovely way to get inspired.

Diane, sorry for not making my message more clear - my reminder was about those shrubs that need to be scaled down and in my region (zones 5 & 6) the buds for the next season form on new growth in August so cutting the brunches after July would have…

Sheryl, that shouldn't be a problem, I have a seed feeder in close proximity and the humming birds seem happy enough to share. They just seem to perch on the tiny twigs where the big guys cant get to. Chech the surronding territory, perhaps someone…
