I've been spending time growing words since last I wrote! My garden is growing too, but it's had to take a back seat to my 'real' work! Today I set up my website, Living in the Outlands:

Well, folks, I finally finished my story! I submitted it last night, now all I have to do is wait! The butterfly flower seeds I planted have sprouted as have many, many poppy seeds. Out of the whole packet of spinach seeds only two have germinated!!!! The stock and sweet william are also showing! I'm very pleased and hope the mice and rats won't eat them! There'll be a lot of weeping here if that happens!

I think I may have collected the abutillons too early - we'll see! I also got some lavender heads the other day that were just about to go to seed, so I hope I did that correctly. I just took the plunge and created a San Francisco group! It's still awaiting approval and has only a membership of one - me! Yesterday I sewed twelve pots of seeds! I'm also collecting abutillon flowers and will be drying the seeds. In a non-gardening context: I've started writing a short story to enter in an Esquire competition! It's been several days of plunges! What fun!

Our wonderful frugal forum has had a hiccup! The idea that it would serve member's needs to organise the discussions in such a way as to make it easier to find others great ideas caused a frenzy of upset! I hope it's ended now. I became upset when it seemed my wonderful friend, Connie, was being attacked and took the bull by the horns in her defence.
