Hi Brenna! Thanks for the comment! And yes, they're growing so fast! I was just tryigng to compare their growth from the first week of May to this week, and they're big... am so excited!!! I'll try to let you know how my sexlink would go regarding egg laying. It would be great if they produce a lot even in winter. Just noticed 3 days ago that there's a dug in area near the door to the run, good my husband had stapled the wire mesh to the frame itself, so there's no way any predator could get in the run and the coop. We're thinking it might be a raccoon..

Hi Brenna,
I usually put down a good weed and feed fertilizer in early spring, but this year I applied my regular fertilizer and am spot spraying the trouble spots. I've got a few dandelions, but my biggest challenge is dollar weed. It's really hard to get rid of without damaging the grass. This year I am using Spectracide Weed Stop for Grass that is supposed to kill the weeds without harming the grass. It comes premixed and attaches to the water hose. I'll let you know how well it works.

Hello! Thank you so much! I really enjoy the flowers and wild things so much!
If you look close you will also see another butterfly; the same kind to the left of the picture a bit smaller. :-)
I use this picture for part of my business re some of my product labels for specific things.
Here's another picture I have taken of this area of my flowers.
I just love all of the gorgeous pictures that everyone has shared, and I also love how friendly everyone is!
Thanks again!

Thanks Brenna. I actually weedeat all the edges first, then cut the grass. After I finish the grass, I use an edger and that gives it a sharp, fresh edge.

Diane, sorry for not making my message more clear - my reminder was about those shrubs that need to be scaled down and in my region (zones 5 & 6) the buds for the next season form on new growth in August so cutting the brunches after July would have…

Love this flower. Never was able to grow it though. Thought it was called queen Anns Lace. I think it adds charm to the garden.

Sheryl, that shouldn't be a problem, I have a seed feeder in close proximity and the humming birds seem happy enough to share. They just seem to perch on the tiny twigs where the big guys cant get to. Chech the surronding territory, perhaps someone…
