WE (Crawford Co.) have been declared a disaster area by the Governor of Iowa.  We now have 15+crews in from Minnesota and Nebraska trying to restore our Power around the area!!   There was over 300 poles down on the ground yesterday and then the wind came up and 50+  more went down!!  Not nice Mother Nature!!!

OH I KNOW IT IS STRANGE TO SAY IT IS PRETTY--BUT IT WAS!! But causes so much damage!! The sounds of the cracking and crackling and ice dropping was just eerie!!! Hafta smile does no good to frown!! Just glad it is behind us!!

We had some damage though out Shelby County, TN. Not nearly as bad as your pictures. Some of the trees around my house bent over some but never snapped. You could hear the crackling of trees in the woods behind our house. I did get some beautiful pictures though. Mother Nature can bring beauty to some of the worst weather.
