Antiques and English Garden Primer

Perhaps many people are new to this rose and would enjoy a primer of the basics to this type. I am a fan of the species in more ways than one. I enjoyed studying roses as a purely scientific endeavor…

I can't grow them here, I did in Washington, but joined so I can still see them. I think roses are my very favorite flower, next to Iris. Love them

Oh Ma Gosh Karen/ Nancy! The day that ends is the day before my birfday... I almost always buy a rose for my birfday... since all of my birfday money goes to household expenses.

Praying that I can get one.....

Hey Page! To the best of my knowledge, YES many roses do well in pots. And that would be particularly so in Ft. Lauderdale!
I would make sure it does not get too dry, (although you dont want to be over watering either). And if it shows signs of heat fatigue you may need some filtered shade during hot spells. I would perhaps keep it pruned a little more than an in-the-dirt-plant.

When choosing your tea rose, many times catalogs include information regarding suitability for containers. So good luck and let us know how is does!
